PURPOSE:To indicate a prescribed character, a prescribed numerical value, a prescribed symbol and the like with definite quality by a method wherein a chip-shaped electrolytic capacitor is housed inside a recessed part formed in a carrier tape as a taping member, the carrier tape is tilted at a prescribed angle, the capacitor is positioned at a corner part inside the 'recessed part by its own weight, a marking indication face is irradiated with a laser beam and the prescribed character, the prescribed numerical value, the prescribed symbol and the like are indicated. CONSTITUTION:Many recessed parts 5a are formed, in a one-raw state, in a carrier tape 5 for taping use; each chip-shaped electrolytic capacitor 4 is housed in each of them. A light-transmitting cover tape 6 is put so as to cover the individual recessed parts 5a. A clearance of about 0.5mm is formed between each recessed part 5a and each capacitor 4 so that the dislocation of an indication is not caused at each capacitor 4. When a laser beam is applied, the carrier tape 5 is tilted at a prescribed angle. Each capacitor 4 is moved to a definite position at a corner part in each recessed part 5a due to its own weight; it is irradiated with the laser beam, e.g. from the direction of an arrow. |
