The invention relates to a photovoltaic system for airport lighting, comprising at least one lighting unit which comprises one or more photovoltaic modules (1), an accumulator battery (3), a charge regulator (2), a power supply/command module, and one or more lighting lamps (4); and a central remote command/control unit, installed in the control tower or in another, suitable building; with said power supply/command module comprising, in its turn, a constant-current power supply unit (5) with a stabilized current output, for the lamps (4), a central microprocessor unit (6) which controls the internal electric functions and performs tasks of power supply unit remote control and remote command, and a first transmitter (7), the maximum transmitting range of which is of approximately 5000 metres and which is capable of transmitting within a frequency a band and at frequency values as assigned by the cognizant Authorities; with said remote command/control unit being constituted, in its turn, by a second transceiver capable of connecting with said first transceiver (7), and a command/control data processor. |
