PURPOSE:To quicken operation for collision detection by changing a limit value against an acceleration signal according to the integral value, and not limiting the level of an acceleration signal directly after beginning of integration of the acceleration signal for estimation of collision of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A control device 2 to control operation of an air bag device 1 inputs an acceleration signal AS from an acceleration sensor 3, to a microcomputer 6 through an amplifier 4 and a A/D convertor 5 as an acceleration data AD. From processing result of the acceleration data AD, when collision of a vehicle is judged, a starting signal KS is output. In this case, integral processing based on the signal limiting level of peak value of the output signal from the acceleration sensor 3 is begun based on generation of a prescribed condition, the starting signal KS is output according to the comparison result between the absolute value of the integral value and a reference value, and the limiting level of peak value of the output signal to be integrally processed is decided following to the absolute value. |
