摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce sense of incongruity for crew at reverse phase steering of rear wheels with a cam mechanism driven with an electric motor by beginning rotational drive of a cam body from smaller steering angle than the steering angle at beginning reverse phase steering of the rear wheels. CONSTITUTION:A rear wheel steering mechanism 2 is provided with a cam mechanism 7 driven with an electric motor 6, and when rotation of the motor 6 is transmitted to a cam body 8 through a reduction gear 11, a cam follower 9 is moved, to steer rear wheels 10 through a slide bar 13 and a tie rod 14. The motor 6 is controlled with a control device 20 based on control information from a vehicle speed sensor 21, a steering angle sensor 22, and the like. At contolling the motor 6, reverse phase steering of the rear wheels is performed in the range of steering angle larger than a prescribed angle, at reverse phase steering of the rear wheels, and rotational drive of the cam body 8 is begun at the time when a smaller steering angle than the steering angle at beginning of the reverse phase steering is reached.
