PURPOSE:To obtain the subject new complex useful as high-strength paper, synthetic fiber, etc., having natural feeling imparted thereto by growing a mycelial organism of the genus Fusarium, etc., in a culture medium containing a fibrous substance without requiring beating steps. CONSTITUTION:A mycelial organism of the genus Fusarium, Diplodia, Cercospora, Trichothecium, Mucor, Penicillium, Trichoderma, Neurospora, Botrytis, Trichophyton, Chaetomium, Endothia, etc., is grown in a culture medium containing a fibrous substance such as pulp to afford the objective complex. Furthermore, the fibrous substance is preferably added to the culture medium so as to afford 0.05-80% fiber content. |
