FUZZY INFERENCE DEVICE

PURPOSE:To automatically obtain a desired fuzzy inference rule with no use of the rule of trial and error by tuning the fuzzy tuning by means of a descending method. CONSTITUTION:An inference rule storage part 1 stores a fuzzy inference rule and a membership function storage part 2 stores the shape data on a membership function of the antecedent part and a functional formula of the consequent part which are used for the fuzzy inference. A fuzzy inference arithmetic part 3 performs an inference arithmetic operation for the fuzzy inference. A descending arithmetic part 5 performs an arithmetic operation by a descending method based on the input/output data obtained from the experts and the result of the inference in order to set the tuning direction. A membership function adjustment part 6 updates the parameter stored in the part 2 based on the arithmetic result of the part 5. Then an error computing part 7 calculates an inference error from the result of the fuzzy inference and the input/output data. As a result, the knowledge and the knowhow of the experts can be easily added to an equipment as an inference rule.
