A device in association with reelable safety belts for vehicles, which safety belts comprise a belt band 7, one end 10 of which is connected to a lower attachment site 1 and the other end 12 of which issues from an upper attachment site 2, for example a deflection fitting 13. The part of the belt band extending between the attachment sites is arranged to be coupled to a coupling device 6 on what is the opposite side of the vehicle seat in relation to the attachment sites. The lower end of the belt band is connected to the lower attachment site by means of an arm 16 which is rotatably mounted around an axis of rotation 15 and which is loaded by a spring force. The spring force is produced by means of an elongated resilient element 17 which extends between the arm 16 and a site in the vehicle. Its direction of force in relation to the axis of rotation 15 of the arm is changed when the arm is changed between the use position and the move-aside position such that the spring force from the resilient element endeavours to counteract a change of the arm from the use position when the arm is in this position. When the belt band is reeled up, the force effect of the element is changed such that the element endeavours to hold the arm in the moved-aside position when the belt is uncoupled. <IMAGE> |
