1365318 Organo-alumino-silicate zeolites MOBIL OIL CORP 22 Dec 1971 [18 March 1971] 59559/71 Heading C1A Crystalline aluminosilicate zeolites which contain organic nitrogen cations are synthesized by crystallization from a reaction mixture containing sources of silica, alumina, alkali, water and two compounds having formulµ R1R2R3N and R4X where R1, R2 and R3 are aryl, substituted aryl, alkyl, substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, substituted cycloalkyl or hydrogen, R4 is aryl, substituted aryl, alkyl, substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl or substituted cycloalkyl and X is an electronegative group. The preferred reaction temperature is 250‹ to 750‹ F. In cases specified R1, R2, R3 and R4 are alkyl groups of C1 to C5 especially ethyl and propyl. In a modification, R1R2R3N is R1R2R4N and R4X is omitted. Certain reaction mixtures are specified, most of the products being members of the ZSM-4, 5, 8, 11 or 12 families. |
