PURPOSE:To improve the fluidity of a toner and to obtain high-quality images having excellent transferrability without scumming by incorporating nitride ceramics into the toner. CONSTITUTION:The toner to be used is formed by incorporating at least a binder resin, coloring agent and charge control agent into the toner and adding the nitride ceramics thereto. The nitride ceramics to be used is exemplified by boron nitride, niobium nitride, tantalum nitride, etc., among which the boron nitride is particularly more preferable since this boron nitride has a releasing effect in addition to a fluidity improving effect. The grain size of the nitride ceramics is preferably <=1mum and more particularly <=0.5mum. The amt. of the addition is 0.01 to 5 pts.wt., more preferably 0.05 to 2 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. toner. The mixing of the nitride ceramics is executed by using a ball mill, mixer, etc. Further, an amino compd., quaternary ammonium compd. and org. dye, etc., are used as the charge control agent. |
