PURPOSE:To facilitate mounting of a terminal detaining member to a connector housing by firstly inserting a terminal detaining jig to the rear of the connector housing, and driving a terminal metal piece being inserted on the way to its full inserted position. CONSTITUTION:When a terminal detaining jig C is inserted from the back into an accommodation chamber 1 of a terminal detaining member while a detent projection 7a' is detained with a detaining part 2, a detent rod 7' is detained with the tail of a terminal metal piece D being inserted on the way, which is thus driven forwards to achieve the primary detained state generated by a flexible detent piece 10. In this condition, a terminal detaining tool B is mounted to a connector housing A. As a result, the detent projection 7a of the detent rod 7 is detained with the detaining part 2b while the base 6 is fitted in a notch 2a, and the detaining part 8 is detained with the detent projection 6 on the connector housing A. |
