<p>Appts. for punching or stamping mouldings or strip comprises >=2 rolls at adjustable heights which move over the strip and apply it to the stamping gauges or plates; the rolls are set at different heights relative to the opposite support on which the plates or gauges rest. Specif., a pair of rolls may be mounted in a rocker arm with its pivotal axis parallel to the rolls, or three rolls may be similarly mounted in a rocker arm and/or be independently adjustable in height relative to the opposite support. The method enables a larger number of sheets to be worked, and results in relatively smooth operation due to the gradual pressure applied by the differently spaced rolls.</p> |
