发明名称 THERMAL RECORDING MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material having an overcoat layer excellent in plasticizer resistance, wearing contamination resistance, sealing fixability and pencil writing properties and low in glossiness by adding urea/formalin resin pigment having a specific mean particle size and specific oil absorbency and inorg. pigment having a specific mean particle size to the overcoat layer of the thermal recording material. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material wherein a recording layer containing a color former and a developer allowing the color former to develop a color at the time of heating and an overcoat layer are provided on a support, urea/formalin resin pigment having a mean particle size of 10mum or less and oil absorbency of 100-500ml/100g and inorg. pigment having a mean particle size of 1-10mum are contained in the overcoat layer. When the mean particle size of the urea/formaline resin pigment exceeds 10mum, the surface of the overcoat layer is roughened and image quality lowers. When the oil absorbency thereof is below 100ml/100g, no sufficient sealing fixability is obtained and, when the oil absorbency exceeds 500ml/100g, the preparation of a coating solution becomes difficult. When the mean particle size of the inorg. pigment is below 1mum, no sufficient pencil writing properties are obtained and, when the mean particle size thereof exceeds 10mum, printing recording image quality lowers.
