PURPOSE:To display the residual amount time of tape with good accuracy, by comparing the residual amount time of tape obtained through operation with those displayed at present and making the specified correction according to the error. CONSTITUTION:Via a rotating disc 10 fitted to a supply-side reel shaft, and a photoelectric conversion element 12, a rotation detecting signal is fed to a CPU. Further, the data representing the tape thickness and types of tapes are fed to the CPU via an operator 20. The CPU makes operation according to the program stored in an ROM, and the residual time data T0 is fed to a display device 4 via an input and output circuit I/03 via a residual time meter. The residual time T calculated newly is compared with T0, and if the error is within correctable range, the content of the residual time meter, T0 is counted down (or up) for the correction, and if the error is greater, the correction for the specified time according the types of tapes is made. Thus, the residual time can be displayed 4 with good accuracy. |
