PURPOSE:To allow the conformity with an improvement in engine output without raising a line oil pressure by conducting the control so as to fasten a forward clutch with an overrun clutch at the time of forward stage with a small speed ratio of a torque converter. CONSTITUTION:A range judging means 43 is provided in a running range position excluding R-range, and transmits a signal to the vehicle speed comparing means 44 of a controller 47 when the running range of forward stage is detected. The vehicle speed comparing means 44 preliminarily stores line oil pressure characteristics in a memory, calculates the cut-back vehicle speed of a cut-back point corresponding to a throttle opening detected by a throttle opening sensor 41, and compares it with a vehicle speed detected by a vehicle speed sensor 40. When the vehicle speed is less than the cut-back vehicle speed, a command signal is transmitted to a cut-back valve control means 45 and an overrun clutch control means 46. The overrun clutch control means 46 has an overrun solenoid operated by the command signal from the vehicle speed comparing means 44 and locks the overrun clutch by its action. |
