PURPOSE:To easily position a coupling part for driving transmission at the time of cartridge replacement with high accuracy and to reduce the running cost by providing detachably a driving switching unit for plural development devices to a cartridge. CONSTITUTION:The driving switching unit B having a driving switching device for switching the driving of the development devices 3Y, 3M, 3C, and 3BK in the cartridge A in order is detachably provided to the cartridge A. Consequently, the driving switching unit B is constituted as one body different from the cartridge A and made attachable to and detachable from the cartridge A, so the cartridge A is only replaced with new one; and the driving switching unit B is fitted to the new cartridge A and usable repeatedly, and consequently the running cost is reduced. Further, the driving power is transmitted from the main body side to the cartridge side through one driving transmission part, so the coupling part for driving transmission is easily positioned at the time of the cartridge replacement with high accuracy.
