PROCESS FOR REFINING SWEETINGS FROM STEVIA

摘要

A stevia sweetening is prepd. by (a) mixing the leaves of Stevia Rebaudiana Bertoni with hot water and leaving alone, (b) adding 0.3-5.0 % tannin or tannic acid into the mixed soln. and adjusting pH to 4.0-11.0 to obtain the extracted soln., (c) filtering the extracted soln. to obtain the stebioside and rebaudioside A-contg. soln., (d) removing impurities from the obtd. soln. by ultra-filtration, and (e) purifying the obtd. soln. and drying to obtain the final product. The obtd. product is useful for low calorie sweetening compsn.
