PURPOSE:To unnecessitate service time and to prevent illegal use by automatically collecting passage charge at an exit based on information of an entrance and confirming the match between vehicle information written at the entrance and vehicle information read from a number plate at the exit. CONSTITUTION:At the entrance of a tollgate equipped with a radio card access device 3A, a read / write processor 5 reads the vehicle information in a ratio card 2 loaded on a vehicle 1 through an antenna 6, and the image of a number plate 8 of the vehicle 1 is picked up by an image pickup device 7. Then, the vehicle information is identified by a picture processor 9, and entrance information is generated by a controller 11 and transmitted to a radio card 2 by the processor 5. Next, at the exit of the tollgate equipped with a radio card access device 3B, the processor 5 reads the information in the radio card 2, and the controller 11 calculates the passage charge and confirms match between the vehicle information read from the number plate 8 and the information of the radio card 2. Thus, service time is unnecessitated and illegal use is made hard. |
