<p>PURPOSE:To enable judgment of the presence of square cut treatment by fixing a pushing rod at the rear end of an insert having inclined surfaces of wedge shape whose thickness is decreased toward its tip and having a size which can be inserted to a buried pipe and by making it rotatable. CONSTITUTION:A judging means 1 is formed by fixing a pushing rod 3 at the rear end of an insert 2 having inclined surfaces 2a of wedge shape whose thickness is decreased toward an inserting portion 2b of its tip. After the insert 2 is pushed into a buried pipe P via the pushing rod 3 until the insert 2 cannot be pushed, a rotating force is applied to the pushing rod 3. When the end P3 of buried pipe P is square cut S, the rotation of insert 2 is inhibited by the abutment of inclined surface 2a of insert 2 with the flat inner surface of end P3 of pipe P. When an elbow is connected to the other end of buried pipe P, the insert 2 is rotated. This constitution enables judgment of the presence of square cut.</p> |
