In a passive electrooptic display element for the display of information, two mutually spaced cell glasses (1, 2) form a closed chamber (3), respective polarisers (5, 6) being disposed on the sides of the cell glasses removed from the chamber (3) and respective transparent electrode carriers (8, 9) being disposed on the side of the cell glasses (1, 2) facing the chamber (3). The chamber (3) is filled with a liquid crystal substance (14) between the electrodes, and one of the components (13;, 15, 15', 15'') disposed within the chamber (3) is designed to be transparently coloured. <IMAGE> |
