PURPOSE:To unify the results of outputs from the different types of character processors by correcting outline data corresponding to the character of the processor when developing the outline data onto a bit map. CONSTITUTION:A normal vector information adding means 13 and a normal vector moving means 14 are provided. Then, normal vector information is added to respective control points including the end points of straight lines or curved lines constituting the outline data, and a line segment having a zero length is inserted to the connecting part of the straight line or the curve. Then, the normal vector information is added to a terminal point as one of the control points of the inserted line segment, and the control point added with the normal vector information is moved in a normal vector direction only for a correcting amount set in advance. Namely, the control point is moved only for the correcting amount calculated corresponding to the characteristic of the processor. Thus, stroke width can be unified for characters developed on the bit map regardless of the characteristic of the processor. |
