PURPOSE:To transmit data to the terminal of the other party without waiting due to incoming of an erroneous telephone call or the like by starting to settle a data link not by an incoming call but by an outgoing call. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 11 counts a frequency in call based on incoming call report from a facsimile adapter 17; and when it reaches 10, the CPU 11 connects a line to a terminal which requests the incoming call and indicates the voice output to a voice output part 18 through a parallel input/output control part 15. Next, the CPU 11 issues a line disconnecting indication to the facsimile adapter 17 and disconnects the terminal, which requests the incoming call, and a communication controller to permit data transmission. Thus, settling of the data link is started independently of the incoming call only by the outgo ing call, and data is transmitted to the terminal of the other party without waiting due to the incoming call when the request of data transmission is gener ated. |
