<p>PURPOSE:To provide the titled resin compsn. for biaxially oriented blow-molded container, which has excellent moldability, by incorporating an aliph. monocarboxylic acid (derivative) or liquid paraffin and conducting a solid phase polymn. so as to produce a resin having an oligomer content lower than a specified value. CONSTITUTION:A polyester resin having an oligomer content of 1% or below is prepd. by using an acid component such as phthalic or trimellitic acid and an alcohol component such as 1,2-propanediol or diethylene glycol as starting materials by a solid phase polymn. method. During or after the production of this polyester resin, 10-1,000ppm of a compd. selected from an 8-32 C aliph. monocarboxylic acid such as capric or palmitic acid, esters thereof such as glycerol stearate, matal salts thereof such as calcium stearate and liquid paraffin is added to obtain the desired polyester resin compsn. for biaxially oriented blow- molded container.</p> |
