PURPOSE:To prevent an wrong developer from being charged by providing a locking means on the supply covers of respective supplying ports and a lock releasing means on one of them. CONSTITUTION:When the shaft part 78 of a toner cartridge 71 is fitted to supporting part 45 on a developing device main body 1, and the cartridge 71 is pushed downward, the lock releasing piece 51 of the cartridge 71 enters the hole part 52 of a locking piece 35 from the opening 48 of the cover 49 of the locking means 33, the locking piece 35 is retreated from a spring 37 while the lock releasing piece 51 is abutted on the wall of the hole 52, to release the lock of the supply cover 27, and the supply cover 27 of a replenishing tank 4 is automatically released by the spring. Then, the cartridge 71 is turned centering the supporting part 45 by 90 deg., so that a toner replenishing preparation complete state is obtained. In other words, the supply cover 27 for replenishing toner can be opened with only the exclusive cartridge 71. Thus, the wrong toner is prevented from being supplied by a user. |
