The intermediate-frequency signal is applied via 3 dB/90deg coupler (C3) and damping elements (Dg,Dg') and phase shifters (Ph,Ph') to the balanced mixers (M1,M2). The outputs of the mixers are connected to a second, similar coupler (C2) that provides the output radio frequency (RF'). Part of the output signal is applied via a third coupler (C4) and amplifier (V1) to a re-mixer (M3) that converts the unwanted sideband and oscillator frequency to the intermediate frequency. The remixer is followed by a diplexer (DP) and two parallel branches, comprising filters for the fundamental (F1) and the second harmonic (F2), followed by rectifiers (G1,G2) and integrators (UG1,IG2).
