The multiplexer has two reference transistors (22, 23) coupled together at their collectors and connected to a supply voltage (VCC) via a resistor (26). Both their emitters are coupled via a respective transistor (10, 11) and resistor (12, 13) circuit to a second voltage (VSS), each of their bases coupled to a reference potential (VB1). Each reference transistor (22, 23) has an associated address and data transistor (20, 21; 25, 24), with their output circuits in parallel, coupled to the supply voltage (VCC) on the collector side and to the emitters of the referernce transistors (22, 23) on the emitter side. The address transistors (20, 25) are controlled by complementary inputs (A, bar A). ADVANTAGE - Reduced sensitivity to signal peaks.
