<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the amt. of suspended substance or soluble org. substance by a method wherein a bundle of biocords consisting of loop-like fibers is suspended and the water desired to be purified is fed thereto to make aerobic and anaerobic bacteria coexistent, so that they feed on each other. CONSTITUTION:A bundle of a few of biocords is received in a short vinyl cylinder, which is then suspended. The water desired to be purified is fed through a water feed pipe into the upper part of the vinyl cylinder and falls from the cylinder while wetting the biocords 1. A nutritious water goes down along the suspended biocords 1, whereby anaerobic bacteria grow on its core part and aerobic bacteria grow on the outer periphery thereof. When the water is falling along the biocords, the bacteria feed on the nutriments in the liq. and digest the same into carbon dioxide and water. Since the outer periphery of the biocords is in contact with air, oxygen dissolves into the air. In this way the aerobic and anaerobic bacteria feed on each other to extremely reduce the occurrence of sludge and purify the water.</p> |
