<p>PURPOSE:To detect an infinite loop under the execution of a program and to detect also abnormal sequence by comparing the content of a compare register with that of a counter, outputting a coincidence detection pulse when coincidence is obtained between them, and outputting a noncoincidence detection pulse when noncoincidence is obtained between them. CONSTITUTION:The compare register 1 is a register with four bit length on which the write instruction of prescribed data is executed by a CPU 6 and the data is written via an internal bus 201. A comparator 4 compares the content of the compare register 1 with that of the counter 3, and outputs a prescribed coincidence detection pulse 102 to an interval timer 5 and clears the timer when the coincidence is obtained between both contents, and outputs the noncoincidence detection pulse 103 as a reset signal when the noncoincidence is obtained between them. In such a way, it is possible to detect the infinite loop under the execution of the program, and also, to detect the abnormal sequence.</p> |
