PURPOSE:To shorten time for calculation by parallelly executing a two-dimensional projection processing, hidden-surface processing and form factor calculation processing. CONSTITUTION:A form factor calculation unit 50 executes the processing of successively cumulatively adding delta form factors (a form factor concerning one picture element) parallelly with the advancement of the hidden-surface processing due to a hidden-surface processing unit 60. When there is a picture element hidden by the other picture element in already processed picture elements, correction is executed to subtract the delta form factor concerning the picture element. Therefore, even when the hidden-surface processing and the form factor calculation processing are parallelly executed, the correct value of the form factor considering the hidden surface can be finally obtained. Thus, time for calculation can be shortened by simultaneously executing the hidden- surface processing and the form factor calculation processing as well parallelly with the projection processing due to a two-dimensional projection unit 30. |
