PURPOSE:To reduce columnar resonance in grooves in the circumferential direction and decrease pattern noise effectively by arranging the mutual space in the circumferential direction where at least one of platforms or partition walls exists usually in a ground plane formed when a tire is put in travel motion. CONSTITUTION:A pair of ribs 1 and 1 extending mutually in parallel to the central part, a linear groove 2 in the circumferential direction locating between the ribs 1 and 1 and a large number of independent blocks 3 and 3 locating on both sides in the axial direction of the ribs 1 and 1 are provided in a tread part T of a pneumatic tire. In the above-mentioned constitution, a platform 7 where the groove bottom is protuberant up to approximately a half position of the groove depth is arranged in a position obtained by dividing the groove 2 in the circumferential direction approximately into quarters along the circumference. Furthermore, a comparatively thin partition wall 8 extending from the groove bottom up to approximately the same height position with the platform 7 by crossing the groove 2 in the circumferential direction is arranged between the platforms 7. Further, the mutual space in the circumferential direction where at least more than one of the platforms 7 or the partition walls 8 exist usually are arranged in a ground plane formed when the tire is put in travel motion. |
