Diagnosis facilitating appts. for psychosomatic illnesses - confronts patient acoustically and/or optically for catalogued conflict content and simultaneously measures skin resistance

The electrical resistance of the patient's skin is measured, recorded and evaluated when a catologued conflict content is presented acoustically and/or optically. The registration and evaluation of the course of the skin electrical resistance are obtained by means of a computer. The text of the conflict content can be displayed on a computer screen for reading by the doctor or specialist or the patient himself in the case of acoustic confrontation. Simultaneously, the skin resistance is measured by the computer and recorded. The patient can be coupled to the computer by two contacts as for ECG. A motive such as, "Fear of starvation", can be displayed, the skin resistance monitored for 10 seconds and the lowest recorded value stored. USE/ADVANTAGE - Rapid, objective evaluation of actual conflict condition of patient. Recording psyschosomatic constellation of patient as well as process and success of therapy.
