The vehicle suspension includes trailing arms (2) articulated at one end to the motor vehicle body and carrying a wheel mounting at the opposite end. A cross member (3) is resiliently deformable under torsion and interconnects the intermediate zones of the two arms. Each arm supports a spring and a shock absorber. The cross-member is fixed to each of the trailing arms by bolts or rivets. Pref. the cross member is made up of an elongate sheet metal element.
