A carrying case with a hard cover comprises two shells with a base plate, each with a surrounding edge section, and a frame consisting of two frame halves which are connected and can be opened out on hinges. At least one frame half features guide rods which engage in a telescopic manner in guide dents on the edge section of the associated half-shell. The rods incorporate fixing dents which make can be made to coincide with corresp. bores in the side walls of the guide dents. The case also features locking bolts which can be inserted vertically to the withdrawal direction in order to fix a specific state of withdrawal. ADVANTAGE - Suitable for accommodating typewriters, sewing machines, computers, etc. The depth of the case is adjustable so that it can be used for appliances of different sizes. (6pp Dwg.No.1/9)
