Traffic sign comprising a visual indicator and a framework for supporting the latter. For its mounting and its fastening to a small post (P) supporting a crash barrier (G) or a similar member, associated with a road-traffic or pedestrian lane or zone, it comprises means (25, 26, 27) arranged so as to interact with the said small post by mating of shapes over a relatively large length compared with the dimensions of the transverse section of the small post and which serve also for immobilising the visual indicator (11) at the desired variable height. Application: temporary signs on roads and/or motorways.
