New quinoline methine dyestuffs of formula (I) are claimed. In (I) R1= F, Cl or Br; R2= H or 1-4C alkyl; R3= H, F, Cl or Br; K= a gp. of formula (IIa-IIg). R4= H, Me, MeO, 1-4C alkylsulphonylamino, 1-4C mono- or dialkylaminosulphonylamino, -NHCOR8 or -NHCO2R8, with R8= Ph, benzyl, tolyl or 1-8C alkyl, opt. with 1 or 2 ether O atoms in the chain; R5= H, MeO or EtO; R6-7 independently = H, 18C alkyl (opt. substd. and opt. with 1 or 2 ether O atoms in the chain) or 5-7C cycloalkyl. - (Dwg.0/0 t-tran)
