The non-return valve (10) has two valve-gates (24, 26) moving on one axle (30) and positioned, when closed, along a separating gap. The edges of the valve-gates (24, 26) form stepped or sloping sealing surfaces (36) along the separating gap. The axle (30) for the valve gates (24, 26) is mounted in a slotted expander-ring (18) which fits with its flange (20) on its outer periphery into a groove (22) in the inner wall of the valve housing (12). A stop-pin (38) is parallel to the axle (30) and goes through the valve-hole. Spacer-pieces (40) on each side the valve gates are positioned on the axle (30). USE/ADVANTAGE - The non-return valve is compact and easily produced and possesses a low flow resistance.
