<p>PURPOSE:To utilize an unused area of a character generator ROM effectively by accessing an area of the character generator ROM where no display data is stored according to read data of a program ROM. CONSTITUTION:In a period from the read of one display data in the character generator ROM 3 to the read of next display data, the area of the character generator ROM 3 where no display data is stored is accessed according to the read data of the ROM 2. Consequently, even when the ratio of the number of display data to the entire storage area of the character generator ROM 3 is small, the remaining storage area of the character generator ROM 3 where no display data is stored can be utilized effectively as a data area to look up a table or for other processes.</p> |
