Reel handling equipment is partly automatic when removing yarn reels from winders. The equipment is based on one frame to enable interchange of full and empty reels, with the ability to move the full reel into a transport position. - The swivel mechanism (7) which is driven from the unit (16) can put the spindles (6,8) into the direction (X, Y or Z) within the framework (12). The ends of the spindles (6a, 8a) are capable of being positioned with exactitude. A torsion unit (11) is based on the frame (12) to give added flexibility.
