Method of producing tooth replacements uses a metal powder and optionally glass or ceramic powder which is mixed to a paste by adding a mixing fluid such as water. The mixt. is moulded on a model support which can be burnt away after sintering. The powder mixt. is made of course and fine fractions with the former not exceeding 100 um. The sinter temperature of the paste is chosen such that it exceeds the solidus temp. of at least one component of the mixt. and in the case of a ceramic component being present is at least 50 deg.C above its firing temp.
