The SAW filter has a meandering curve forming the basis of the transducers (100,101) so that in the region of the ends (19,18) of the transducer the ends end near only one (15) of the collecting rails (13,15). The collecting rail is at a higher potential for the transducer operated in the unsymmetric state. At the transducer end the last overlapping fingers (12a) are fingers in the earthed comb structure (120) of the transducer near the collecting rail of the opposite comb structure at high potential. The overlap length of the last fingers can pass to zero with the corresponding overlapping fingers of the other comb structure.
