PURPOSE:To perform reliable control of lowering of an engaging pressure according to a kind of a shift through extremely simple constitution by providing a control means to control operation of a timing valve according to a kind of a shift during a shift wherein the engaging pressure of a specified friction engaging element is lowered. CONSTITUTION:A hydraulic control circuit is provided with a bypass circuit 143 to feed an oil pressure to a 2-4 brake 45 in a way to bypass an orifice 74 for an accumulator located in an oil passage running to a frictional engaging element, for example, a 2-4 brake 45, and a timing valve 203 to control an oil pressure feed and discharge timing through the bypass circuit 143. A control means 47 to control operation of a timing valve 103 according to a kind of a shift during a shift wherein the engaging pressure of the 2-4 brake 45 is lowered is provided. This constitution facilitates control of lowering of an engaging pressure according to a kind of a shift through extremely simple constitution where the single timing valve 103 is employed. |
