<p>Device for turning iron and steel products of square or rectangular cross-section, such as, in particular, blooms, slabs or billets, through 90 DEG , by turning about an edge of this product, characterised in that it comprises stationary parts (10, 10'), in the form of portals and resting on the ground straddling the roller handling table (T) on which the product (P) to be turned moves, a movable part (12) consisting essentially of a principal beam (20), placed above the roller handling table and parallel with the longitudinal axis of the latter and carriages (22, 22') supporting means for performing the said 90 DEG rotation, each of the said carriages rolling on an element (16, 16') of the corresponding stationary part (10, 10') in an oblique translational movement so that turning of the product through 90 DEG takes place via a rotational movement and via an oblique translational movement. <IMAGE></p> |
