1335722 Tamperproof closures; portable containers MARDON ILLINGWORTH Ltd 22 May 1972 [8 June 1971] 19350/71 Headings B8T and B8D The skirt 11 of a closure 10 has apertures in a peripheral line of weakening 18 which defines a tear-off band. The container 20 has lugs 24 which fit in these apertures and a bead 25 against which the lower edge of the skirt 11 abuts and which prevents the closure from being prised off before the detachment of the tear-off band. A tab 14 on the tear-off band facilitates this detachment after which the closure is reusable as either it is provided with a shoulder (15) which engages under a rib (23) around the top of the container or it simply slides on to the container. The closure may have a recess in its top so that another container may be stacked on it. A carrying handle may be slid up the container and retained by the bead 25.
|
