<p>Polymers consist of the randomly distributed recurring units: in which Ar is a phenylene radical, and X is the radical of an opt. substd. aliphatic, aromatic, cycloaliphatic or heterocyclic compd. electron acceptor, with a polymer m.w. above 1,000. X is pref. a radical from carboxylic, thiocarboxylic, sulphonic acids, or mono- or polyisocyanates, thiocyanates, cyanuric chloride, phosphonitrillic chloride trimer or their derivs. The polymers are colourless and very stable, and may be made into fibres, films, coatings or mouldings.</p> |
