PURPOSE:To realize anti-aliasing with a simple constitution by individually multiplying the value of each lookup table by the value of a shift register for a weighting memory. CONSTITUTION:The direction, X or Y, in which the change of a line to be drawn is larger is found and coordinates on the axis perpendicular to the found direction are found at every 1/8 step by increasing the coordinates on the axis in the direction in which the line largely changes. Of the coordinates thus found, the two points which are the closest to the true coordinates are stored in frame buffers 3. At the same time, weighted values of luminance to the coordinates of the two points are stored in weighting memories 4. Then color values in the frame buffers are converted into luminance information of R, G, and B by using lookup tables 7a-7c and the luminance information is multiplied by weight values by means of multipliers 8a-8c. The luminance information of each color channel thus obtained is sent as analog video signals after the information is respectively D/A-converted. Therefore, anti-aliasing can be realized with a simple circuit configuration. |
