PURPOSE:To prepare minute polymer particles useful as a matting agent and having accurately controlled particle diameters by adding a specific substance to a polymer droplet dispersion produced by dispersing a polymer soln. in water. CONSTITUTION:Water is added to a polymer droplet dispersion, pref. one prepd. by dispersing a reaction product, e.g. an ethyl methacrylate-methyl methacrylate- methacrylic acid terpolymer obtd. by the polymn. in an org. solvent lowly miscibe with water (e.g. a mixture of ethyl acetate with n-butanol) in, water. |
