PURPOSE:To predict the actual standby time of warming-up by converting the detected temperature of a fixing device to a voltage value, converting it to a digital value besides, comparing it with a reference digital value and calculating time until the warming-up is finished. CONSTITUTION:The detected temperature of the fixing device is converted to the voltage value like voltages on both ends of a thermistor 2 and converted to the digital value by an AD converter circuit 4. Besides, when the temperature of the fixing device rises, the digital value is compared with the reference digital value which is previously set and the time until the warming-up is finished is calculated. Then, the calculated time is displayed by flicker and one of a turning-on time and a turning-off time is changed in proportion to the calculated time. Therefore, the calculated time is changed to a value as small as an operator can count, for example and turning-on or turning-off is executed during it. Thus, the actual standby time of the warming-up is predicted by counting the turning-on time or the turning-off time and multiplying it by a prescribed number. |
