The invention relates to a method of servicing a multi winding station textile machine with doffing carts from a pool which holds a greater number of such carts than the number of winding stations in the machine, the winding stations and doffing cart pool being connected by a track leading to a delivery position so that, whenever a winding station requires servicing by a doffing cart for the removal of a finished yarn spool for instance, a cart is moved from the pool to the station and subsequently to the delivery position, while carts are turned from the delivery position to the pool. <IMAGE>
