<p>The present invention relates to a method of automatic regulation of the cutting force to be applied to a tool mounted on a machining robot arm, for example to deburr a chamfer on a workpiece. This process consists in: a) - illuminating the workpiece to be machined by a light beam; b) - producing an image of the trace of the light beam on the workpiece (2) with the aid of a camera (5), so as to display the profile (3) to be machined of the workpiece (2); c) - analysing the image obtained at step (b) in order to detect the presence of possible burrs (7) on the profile (3); and d) - calculating, on the basis of the analysis carried out at (c), an appropriate cutting effort for the profile (3) to be machined and regulating the displacement of the tool (6) as a function of the cutting effort thus calculated. This method applies, for example, to the machining of workpieces of any type, and, for example, to the deburring of chamfers arising on moulded workpieces. <IMAGE></p> |
