PURPOSE:To cause recessed portions to be approached to each other to enable a cover to be as small as possible and further to improve the appearance of an air conditioner by a method wherein the cover is provided with a rotating projection and a sliding projection, the recessed portion in a front panel is provided with a recessed portion to be fitted to the rotating projection and a sliding part where the sliding projection is slid. CONSTITUTION:A recess 19 formed in a side surface 7a of a recess part 7 is made such that a rotating projection 20 of a side surface 7a of a cover 10 rotatably stored in a recess 7 is fitted to a recess 19. A front surface 21 of the cover 10 is slant downwardly and when the recess 7 is closed by the cover 10, the front surface 21 of the cover 10 and the lower side 8 of a discharging port 5 are in flush with each other. Even if the recesses 19 are approached to each other, a strength of the recess is not lowered as compared with a hole or a recess passed through the side surface 7a, resulting in that the recess 7 can be made small and then the cover 10 can be made small. In addition, the reinforcing part needed in the prior art can be eliminated. In addition, the sliding projection 23 of the cover 10 is slidably supported by a surface contact at the sliding part 24, so that the rotation of the cover 10 can be smoothly performed. |
