METHOD FOR EXTRACTING GOLD AND SILVER FROM ORE

PURPOSE:To economically and safely extract gold and silver from ore by bringing halogen simple substance, halogenated salt and an organic solvent into contact with pulverized ore and converting gold and silver included therein into compounds easy to dissolve. CONSTITUTION:The simple body of chlorine, bromine and iodine as halogen simple substance and halogenated quaternary nitrogen compounds and halogenated metallic salt as halogenated salt as well as an organic solvent are brought into contact with pulverized gold and silver ore. By giving halogen atoms to gold and silver in the ore from the halogen simple substance, the halides of gold and silver are formed and are converted into halogeno anion complexes by the function of the halogenated salt, so that they are extracted into the organic solvent.
